berries) and added to recipes to make delicious meals.

Healthy Smoothie:
Wheat grass juice is one of the healthiest
substances you can add to your diet. When you add wheat grass or wheat
grass juice, to your diet, you are essentially harvesting the
energy of the sun
directly into your body. The chlorophyll in wheat grass
is remarkably similar in structure to the hemoglobin found in our blood.
VIDEO CLIP 1: Fresh fruit
smoothie with wheat grass.
Activity
1: Grow a batch of wheat grass and make a smoothie:
If you don't have a sprouting tray yet, you can start by
growing it in a planter. Mix 50% soil and
50% peat moss in a planter. Follow the instructions on the video to
soak the wheat overnight, then transfer it to the planter and place it
in indirect light. Water with a sprayer every day until the
grass is 5" high and ready to be used.
However, we recommend using a
sprouting tray.
When the wheat grass is ready, try the
smoothie that Anitra makes, but don't stop there. Try any
smoothie recipe by adding wheat grass as an additional ingredient.

dishes that you could top off with refrigerated cooked wheat. Also, try
adding it to your meat recipes. You'll be
surprised at how easy and tasty wheat is.
Popped Wheat as a Condiment
This is one of the simplest recipes that can add protein to just
about any recipe. Notice that you can include different spices
with this wheat recipe.
Activity
3: Pop some wheat kernels and try your recipe.
This lesson obviously follows on Activity 2, so you'll need some cooked
wheat to start. Follow the video, and then use other seasonings that
you
like. Notice that Anitra uses two of her favorite flavorings. Be
daring—use your own favorite flavors! Try until you get if
perfect for your family.
Remember, the key to your success is action.
Watch the
videos. Complete the lessons. You’ll learn to enjoy
using your food storage as part of your daily diet in ways you never
